When a tooth holder gets damaged on a machine like this, the work stops. Period. You can't push through with a worn or broken holder - it compromises cutting performance and puts more stress on surrounding components. The only real fix is cutting it off clean and starting fresh.

That's exactly what we did here. We removed the damaged holder, cleaned and prepped the mounting surface down to bare metal, and welded a new Doppstadt replacement holder back to spec. Every step of that process matters. A bad prep job leads to a weak weld. A weak weld means the holder fails again - and you're right back to square one.

The welds on this one were laid in tight and consistent around the full perimeter of the holder base. That's not just for looks. Full-perimeter welds distribute load evenly, which is exactly what a tooth holder needs when it's taking repeated impact from digging and tearing.

Downtime on a machine like this isn't just an inconvenience. It's lost hours, delayed jobs, and frustrated customers. Getting it repaired fast and done right the first time is what keeps operations moving. We handle tooth holders, buckets, cutting edges, booms, sticks, attachments, and structural repairs - in the shop or out in the field around Maryland Heights and the greater St. Louis area.

Whether your machine is down at a job site or you can bring it in, we're set up to handle it either way.
