When a piece of equipment gets damaged badly enough, finding a replacement part isn't always possible. That was exactly the situation here. The original Doppstadt grinder door wasn't just worn - it was destroyed. Not something you can order off a shelf or patch up with a basic repair. The only real solution was to build a new one from the ground up.

We came out on-site with the service truck and crane, removed the damaged assembly, and got to work. Every component of the new door was fabricated from scratch - cut, formed, reinforced, fitted, and assembled to match the original configuration while being built to handle the brutal day-to-day punishment these grinders deal with. You can see the finished door bolted into place with clean welds throughout and solid hardware across every mounting point.

What makes this kind of job different from a standard repair is the level of precision required. A grinder door isn't just a panel - it's a structural component that takes constant impact and stress. Getting the fit right matters. Getting the strength right matters even more. We built it to do both.

The crane on our mobile welding rig made it possible to lift and position the new door for final installation without needing to move the machine or bring in additional equipment. That's the whole point of mobile welding - we come to the machine, handle the work on-site, and minimize the time it spends out of service.

Whether it's a grinder, forestry equipment, recycling machinery, or any other heavy equipment that takes a hit, we handle on-site fabrication and welding repairs for commercial and industrial operations. If the part doesn't exist anymore, we build it.
