



Short bed trucks are great until you try to fit a fuel cell in one. The fender wells eat into the available space fast, and a standard rectangular cell just won't drop in cleanly. So instead of forcing it, we notched the corners out of the cell itself to work around them.
That's the core of what we're doing here. We're modifying the fuel cell so the corners step around the fender wells rather than fighting them. It's a more involved process than a straight install, but the result is a fuel cell that sits properly in the bed without sacrificing capacity or creating clearance issues down the road.
The fit has to be right. A fuel cell that's improperly seated can shift, stress fittings, and create bigger headaches later. Taking the time to cut and weld the notches correctly means the cell sits flush and stable - exactly where it needs to be.
Fabrication work like this is common out here in the Moscow Mills area, where people are building and modifying working trucks and project rigs. Every install has its own quirks, and this is a good example of why custom fab beats trying to make an off-the-shelf solution work.
