Sometimes a new attachment just doesn't fit the way you need it to. That's exactly what happened here. A customer picked up a brand new thumb for their excavator but quickly realized the open position wasn't where it needed to be. Not ideal when you're trying to get real work done.

Instead of sending them back to square one, we fabricated a custom pin bracket from scratch and welded it directly onto the arm. The bracket repositions where the thumb opens to, giving the operator a much wider, more usable range of motion. It's a pretty straightforward fix once you know what you're looking at - but it takes someone who can actually build and weld the part to make it happen.

The weld work is solid. Full penetration along the base of the bracket, cleanly laid down right on the arm. We're not slapping parts together here. This thing is going to see hard use out in the field, so it needs to hold. We built it to do exactly that.

This kind of custom fab work is something we do regularly out here in Wright City. Whether it's modifying an attachment, building a bracket that doesn't exist off a shelf.
